Who benefits from
Fundolario's guidance
Our informational resources are open to any migrant in Spain navigating the financial and administrative system. Here is a clearer picture of who typically reaches out to us.
Information is a right, not a privilege
Spain's financial system can be genuinely confusing to navigate, even for people who have been here for years. Banking requirements, municipal registration, Social Security enrollment — each process has its own logic, its own documents, and its own bureaucratic rhythm.
Fundolario exists to close that gap. We do not provide legal advice, we do not represent anyone in any official process, and we do not handle money or documents. We explain what exists, how it works, and what to expect.
People who reach out to us
These are not categories — just some common situations where our information has been useful.
Newly arrived migrants
People who arrived recently and want to understand how to get established financially. What bank will open an account? How does empadronamiento work? Where do you even start? We help you understand the landscape before you walk into any office.
Families with ties abroad
People who regularly send money to relatives in another country and want to understand remittance options, how fees are structured, and whether the services they're using are licensed and regulated in Spain.
Workers starting formal employment
People beginning their first formal job contract in Spain who need to understand what affiliation to the Social Security system means, what their employer should be doing, and what rights come with formal employment.
EU and non-EU migrants alike
The processes differ somewhat between EU citizens and non-EU nationals, but both groups benefit from clearer information. Whether you hold an EU passport or a TIE, our information is relevant to you.
Students and young adults
International students who need a bank account to receive a stipend or scholarship, or young people who moved to Spain independently and need to understand the basics of registering and accessing public services.
Community and support organizations
NGOs, community centers, and volunteer groups who work directly with migrants and want accurate, up-to-date information to share with the people they serve. Our resources can support your work.
